A roguelike game in a world of magic
Boss Crushers is a game that sends its players into a dungeon to fight hordes of monsters in solo or multiplayer modes. Boost your character and earn weapons to take on the bosses.
The game fits into the world of roguelike titles, alongside Slay the Spire and EVERSPACE 2. This means that it is heavy on action as well as exploration.
Three characters, one adventure
Boss Crushers starts by allowing you to choose between three different characters: witch, crystal keeper, and sorcerer. Each of them with strengths and weaknesses. You will be dropped into a 3D dungeon after this, where you will use weapons and magic against hordes of enemies that appear at spawn points. Keep on zapping before they get you!
Spells and abilities for your hero
As you fight your way through the dungeon, you will earn money that can be traded in for more spells and other enhancements. As you proceed, you will find that your enemies become stronger as well, so you will need to both enhance your character's capabilities and your own strategies. You can also earn "talents" for further abilities.
How far can you go?
As is typically the case with roguelike games, Boss Crushers' gameplay is focused less on reaching a goal than on seeing how far you can push against the onslaught of foes. Should you perish in combat, you will be shown a scoreboard recording how many enemies you killed and how many rooms you unlocked.
A lot of variety
Although outwardly simple, Boss Crush has hidden depths. It can be played in multiplayer or solo modes, and as the title suggests, there is a special emphasis on intimidating bosses. With dungeons randomly generated each time, there is also plenty of variety, particularly given the adjustable difficulty level.
